6 key ideas, each explained in our own words.

Dnyaneshwari

  1. IDEA 1

    Wisdom in the people's language

Around 1290, the young saint Dnyaneshwar explained the Bhagavad Gita in Marathi verse so ordinary people could understand it. Wisdom should not stay locked in a language few speak.

  2. IDEA 2

    A prayer for every being

His closing prayer, the Pasayadan, asks that the wicked lose their wickedness, that all beings become friends, and that the light of goodness reach everyone. He prays for all, not only his own.

  3. IDEA 3

    Work as worship

Doing your own work fully and sincerely is itself an offering. No duty is too small to be sacred.
