6 key ideas, each explained in our own words.

Songs of the Bhakti Saints

IDEA 1
Love over ritual
The Bhakti poets taught that sincere love matters more than ritual, caste or learning. Anyone, from any background, can walk this path.
IDEA 2
Meera's courage
Meera chose devotion over the expectations placed on a royal woman, and sang about it fearlessly. Inner conviction can outlast outer pressure.
IDEA 3
Speak the people's language
Tulsidas, Tukaram and others sang in everyday languages instead of Sanskrit, so ordinary people could feel the teachings directly.
