Jesus of Nazareth (trad.)

6 key ideas, each explained in our own words.

The Sermon on the Mount

IDEA 1
Blessed are the gentle
The teaching turns status upside down: the humble, the merciful, the peacemakers and those who grieve are the ones called blessed.
IDEA 2
Love even your opponents
Loving only those who love you is easy. The harder practice is to wish well even for those who wrong you.
IDEA 3
Don't worry about tomorrow
Look at the birds and the wild flowers, the sermon says; they don't worry, yet they're cared for. Each day has enough to deal with on its own.
